When Resistance Flips — and When It Does Not
Break-and-retest stories fail often. A practical filter for genuine role reversal versus temporary noise.
Role reversal is taught early and over-trusted. A break above resistance does not automatically mint support. The flip earns status only when price returns and finds willing buyers under conditions that match your rules.
Filters that reduce false flips
Require a decisive close beyond the zone on your mapping timeframe, a retest that does not reclaim the broken side with conviction, and alignment with a higher-timeframe bias. Without those, treat the area as contested structure—not a finished map.
